With the global pandemic we’ve really seen how people have had to adjust and shift their business, their plans and basically their lives to be able to still carry on somehow with all the changes and restrictions in place.
We have seen new ways for celebrating birthdays, weddings and baby showers. If you are currently pregnant you will know that this pregnancy will be like no other. A lot has changed and one of those changes is not being able to celebrate a baby shower. But, have no fear as there are still some fun things that you can do to enjoy your pending arrival with friends and family and still stay safe.
Drive by baby showers are becoming the new norm when it comes to celebrating your pregnancy. All you do is give your guests a date and a window of 30 minutes to an hour for them to drive by your house. Mum to be can decorate the front of her house with some balloons, a comfy chair and maybe a mocktail to sip on while you wait for your guests.
If you’re attending a drive by baby shower, you can have some music blaring from your car, a celebratory sign from your car window or even simply drop off a gift or plate of home baked food for the Mum to be to enjoy. Don’t forget to film the parade.
If a drive by shower is not your thing then the other option would be to celebrate it with your family and friends through a Zoom chat. Give your guests a date and time of the chat. Prior to this your guests may have gifts delivered to you or they can drop them off. On the day of the Zoom chat you could arrange pizza and cake to be delivered to your guests. Afterwards, the Mum to be could open her gifts and thank everyone personally.
These are just some ideas trending at the moment that are a great way to celebrate a special time in your life. Luckily, with technology today we are still able to connect with loved ones maybe not like we used to but hey, we’ll take whatever we can get at the moment.
